BOA Ghana Strengthens ties with Muslim Customers

Bank of Africa Ghana has upheld an annual tradition of supporting the Muslim community during Ramadan. The holy month of Ramadan is a sacred period of fasting, prayer and reflection for our Muslim brothers and sisters.

As part of activities to express our solidarity and commitment, Management and staff, led by our Managing Director, Abderrahmane Belbachir, paid a courtesy visit to the National Chief Imam at his residence where assorted items were donated to support the cleric’s initiative of providing help to the less privileged Muslim families during and after the fasting period

BOA’s participation in this activity reinforces our commitment to community engagement and social responsibility.

Additionally, an Iftar (breaking of fast) ceremony was held at one of Accra’s plush seafood restaurants, Nsuomunam on the 16th of March, 2025. Some of the distinguished guests at the event include the Ambassador of Morocco to Ghana, Mrs. Ouaadil Imane, the Ambassador of Mali to Ghana Mr. Omar Konate, spokesperson of the National Chief Imam Sheikh Aremeyaw Shaibu. Board Members, Management and Staff from Bank of Africa were also present at the Iftar event.

Muslim customers outside Accra were treated to beautiful fruit hampers for the Iftar with their various families.

These annual Ramadan activities align with Bank of Africa’s tenets of being customer focused, while providing an opportunity for Management and staff to engage with the Bank’s Muslim customers and other stakeholders.
